Fascists will do whatever is necessary to stay in power. They hate democracy and don’t respect the tenet of fair elections. Fascists have no intention of relinquishing their power, so they give the appearance of the people having the freedom to exercise their vote. The assault on The Capitol on January 6th (and the subsequent pardoning of all the criminals involved) showed how much Donald Trump detests our democratic processes.
