When the leaders of a government speak to the people they are supposed to be serving, we rightfully expect transparency and honesty. The following are quotes from administration officials in the US government about the same event:

Kristi Noem

“An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement”

“…This individual showed up to a law enforcement operation with a weapon and dozens of rounds of ammunition. He wasn’t there to peacefully protest. He was there to perpetuate violence.”

“the definition of domestic terrorism.”

Stephen Miller

“A domestic terrorist tried to assassinate federal law enforcement”

“A would-be assassin tried to murder federal law enforcement and the official Democrat account sides with the terrorists.”

Donald Trump

“I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines loaded up with bullets also. That doesn’t play good either.”

The day after the event in question, he complained about his ballroom, He’s either so far into dementia that he doesn’t know what’s happening in the country or so far up his own ass that he doesn’t care.

Kash Patel

“You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It’s that simple. You don’t have a right to break the law.”

Tricia McLaughlin

“The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. … Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots.”

Greg Bovino

“The victim? The victims are the Border Patrol agents. I’m not blaming the Border Patrol agents. The suspect put himself in that situation.”

“Let’s look at why he was there in the first place. Was he simply walking by and just happened to walk into a law enforcement situation and try to direct traffic and stand in the middle of the road, and then assault, delay and obstruct law enforcement? Or was he there for a reason?”

“What I’m saying is we respect that Second Amendment right. But those rights don’t count when you riot and assault, delay, obstruct and impede law enforcement officers.”

“So good job for our law enforcement in taking him down”

This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement”

After hearing this, you would think an out-of-control madman was violently attacking federal agents. You might be worried for their safety. The way they described him, surely the video and picture evidence support these claims of domestic terrorism:

Here is a video of the murder and the events that led to it.

There is video and picture evidence, as well as eye witness accounts that all captured brutal domestic terrorism, but Alex Pretti, the man seen on his knees being executed, was the victim of domestic terrorism, not the perpetrator. His death was later ruled a homicide, obviously.

At the time of those statements, did those government officials have different angles of video? Secret footage? Some kind of indication that anything they were saying was true? No, they didn’t. They did what they’ve been doing and will continue to do: lie to the American people in order to distract from the fascist regime they’re trying to build. You want to tell how someone you know is in the MAGA cult? Ask them about their opinion of this murder. If they respond by saying he shouldn’t have brought a gun to a peaceful protest or he shouldn’t have been filming ICE or any other excuse that doesn’t align with the mountain of evidence we have, they’re either repeating what they heard from these lying traitors in the federal government or what a Russian told them to say. Anyone who says this wasn’t a murder in broad daylight is a complicit fascist.

Yes, the American government has a long history of lying to its citizens. The Pentagon Papers, Watergate, Iraq WMDs, Iran-Contra, NSA/Snowden, Pat Tillman, and pretty much everything Trump says. But this is different. This is the most brazen attempt to rewrite history and create a false narrative maybe in the history of government lies and coverups. We all see the video, every angle, every gunshot. There aren’t three sides to this truth. You either see the federal government murdering a civilian (again!!) or you see what they tell you to see. If we have to legally force them to NOT destroy evidence in an active murder investigation (again!!), they aren’t on your side.

The federal government is waging war on the people of the United States. Choose which side of the line you’re on. You’re either supporting fascism or fighting against it. There aren’t three sides to this either.

If there was ever any doubt that art imitated life:

How many people have to die?

The murder of Alex Pretti would still be tragic and reprehensible if he were a terrible person, but by several accounts, he “always stood for people and human rights, helping fellow citizens and just being a good citizen of society and the communities that he lived in” and “wanted to be helpful, to help humanity and have a career that was a force of good in the world.” This is evidenced by his actual career, which was being an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. He knowingly accepted less pay than working in private care in order to help veterans, who he seemed to genuinely care for. Alex Pretti gave the same care to veterans that he was denied while ICE agents were counting the bullet holes in his body.

So where are they? Where are the large swaths of veterans speaking out against the murder of someone who dedicated their life to serving and helping them? He gave his all for you, so what are you going to give in return, especially after Trump is gutting your care and benefits? Active military? Your boss is trampling all over the Constitution, the highest rule of law that you swore an oath to. Are you going to continue to follow the orders of a demented dictator? What about the 2Aers? Trump has repeatedly criticized Pretti for exercising his 2nd amendment right (while exercising his 1st amendment right). Where are you hypocrites at? Or is it only acceptable when you do it?

Pretti is not the only person who has been killed by ICE or died in their custody this year. Renée Good’s murder a few weeks earlier was also well publicized. They count for just two of nine deaths to occur in the first three weeks of 2026, a pace that is on track to far surpass the record 32 from last year:

At a minimum, impeach Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller. Mike Johnson admits they don’t intend on following the Constitution, which tracks with everything else they do. In that case, abolish ICE before they get to the midterm polls.

ICE Out

Tom Homan, formerly a Project 2025 contributor and currently Trump’s Border Czar, announced ICE is ending their occupation and are pulling agents out of Minnesota. This is the same Tom Homan who was caught on video accepting a $50,000 bribe from undercover FBI agents, followed by the Justice Department closing down that investigation, followed by the DOJ decimating the corruption unit that worked on the Homan probe. This is not the first time Homan has accepted money from companies looking for government contracts and he has made it clear that he doesn’t “care what the judges think.” The FBI and DOJ have ignored FOIA requests for the recording of the bribe and released a statement saying “The Department’s resources must remain focused on real threats to the American people,” like redacting Trump’s name from the Epstein files. ICE leaving is a huge relief and a great step in the right direction, but fascism is still pulsing through the veins of the government.

Thank you, Minnesota

The brave people of Minnesota stood up against fascism and won. Among the chaos and almost too many other events to catalogue, they’ve weathered a storm of skipping crucial medical appointments, hearing Trump call their governor “retarded,” losing $20 million from their economy each week, as well as having ICE agents severely beat them, lie under oath about shooting them, and retaliate against peaceful protesters with threats and intimidation while violating more than 100 court orders in January alone.

They have succeeded by helping each other with groceries and rent, marching in freezing weather, practicing nonviolence in the face of violence, and exercising their 2nd amendment. The peaceful protestors in Minnesota didn’t need to be paid, unlike the traitors on January 6th. Minnesota has shown us all how to deal with ICE, and that’s important, especially since they’ve begun a rapid expansion. Minneapolis represents a microcosm of what’s to come.
