Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the nation’s top health official, released a 73 page assessment detailing the main drivers of childhood chronic disease and poor overall health in America. Fascists have trusted bad science before and it didn’t work out well, but RFK Jr promised to be “pursuing truth, embracing science” in his quest to make American children healthy and fight the rise of chronic disease that ails them.
And then he let AI do it. To be fair, in his own words, America shouldn’t be taking medical advice from the person making its most important and urgent health decisions, so maybe leaving it up to AI (instead of scientists and doctors) was the better call. However, AI made errors in the citations of the report, so they were updated. As expected, there are still errors after the updates. The pattern is expected to continue because Trump repeats patterns as evidenced with his Tariff Hokey Pokey. Artificial intelligence also continues having a prominent role in the administration.
Contradictions abound
When someone says one thing and does another, we stop trusting them, right? Wrong, because Donald Trump is our president despite his inability to be an honest, decent person. RFK Jr. is no better. For example, he calls JAMA a “corrupt” magazine then cites them 30 times in his report.
But take a step back to see the real misdirection. One reason they can release an embarrassing, error-laden report is because Trump supporters will accept it without any question, even as, according to the AP, the fascist Trump administration has already “pulled $11 billion of direct federal support and eliminated 20,000 jobs at national health agencies” with much more to come. With the world as its audience, the Trump administration is purposefully wrecking the nation’s health while telling everyone they’re doing the opposite…and we’re just allowing it to happen.

Why don’t they care?
The Trump administration releases the report with careless errors, claims to fix them, makes more mistakes, insults the intelligence of anyone paying attention, and continues to not admit any fault. Clearly, this wasn’t a simple mistake.
They knew this would get fact-checked, and they didn’t care. They knew this would be in the news, and they did not care. When they were trusted to use taxpayer (your) money to create a report providing guidance about making our country healthier, they did not care about the American people. You. Your family. Us. We vote for the president to do what is in our best interest and Trump continues to do the opposite.
Why? Because this buys them time. With what they’re planning, they know it won’t matter. Because the worst of this fascist regime is yet to come.
And we do not care.
