The Associated Press, one of the leading news organizations in the world, was banned from the Oval Office by the Trump Administration for referring to the Gulf of Mexico by its name and not calling it the Gulf of America. To be clear, America is the only country in the world recognizing this name change and the AP serves readers across the globe.

This also comes as the White House is allowing Russian funded MAGA influencers into the White House, along with Russian state media.

It is incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would violate the First Amendment in such an obvious way. A judge later reinstated the AP, “affirming on First Amendment grounds that the government cannot punish the news organization for the content of its speech.” News organizations must remain independent and allowed to report the truth, not what a fascist deems the truth.
